The Parish Family Life Committee first met in March of 1998. We are grateful to the many parishioners who have helped to make the past two and a half years successful. By your interest and participation you have shown us that There is indeed a need and a desire for the families of our parish to gather and celebrate together. This has been a wonderful example of Christ in our midst bringing us together in love and in His name. We thank everyone who has helped us in any way especially Deacon Wilson and Fr. Boone for all their support and encouragement. We have sponsored several events through the years. We have had several "Family Sundays"- - joining together at the Sunday mass and gathering afterward for refreshments. We have celebrated with three parish picnics, valentine activities, Halloween happenings, Palm Sunday and Easter events, Christmas birthday parties for Jesus, caroling to the shut-ins in our parish (followed by hot chocolate, eggnog, and cookies at the Rectory). We have had Thanksgiving projects, and organized last years Christmas "giving tree." We have had Easter basket raffles, cash raffles, and a car wash. We have had a game night and sledding fun, We hope you have taken the opportunity to join in the fun. A bulletin board in the main hallway is a good place to find out what we are up to. We try to keep current information available there. Not only are all parishioners invited to participate in all events, but you are also invited to become a member of the committee as well. We are currently meeting on the second Monday of each month at 7:00 in Trapp Hall. We welcome you and your ideas. We also welcome your children (if you have any). Most of our children come to the meetings; it makes it much easier to participate when you don't have to arrange for a sitter. Meetings only last about an hour. We are very informal. If you have any questions or comments, please call Joe and Debbie Eink at 433-7820.
